Print with HP Wi-Fi Direct on Windows
Initially turn on your HP printer
Then from the printer control panel, press the Wi-Fi Direct icon
In the following Wi-Fi Direct details screen note down the Wi-Fi direct name and its password
Further, at the end of the page there is a settings icon
In the following Wi-Fi Direct settings screen turn on the Wi-Fi Direct
The connection method will be automatic
The connection method can be altered from automatic or manual based on the preference
Navigate to your windows system
Tap on the start button and choose settings
Open the network and internet option
In the following screen select show available networks option
Select the printers name that start with Direct in front of it
Tap on the connect button below the network name
Don’t enter the router pin
Enter the Wi-Fi Direct password and click the Next button
Navigate to the settings menu of the system and tap on the Devices. Choose printers and scanners option. Now choose add a printers & scanners option. In the following list choose the printer with Direct in front of its name. In the next screen click on the manage button. Open a document; go to file and start printing as usual. Follow the below steps to print from their Mac to a HP printer using Wi-Fi Direct
Initially turn on your HP printer and note down the Wi-Fi Direct name of your printer
Press the Wi-Fi Direct icon and open the settings menu
From the following page note down the Wi-Fi Direct name and the password
Now tap on the Wi-Fi icon and choose the Wi-Fi Direct printer name
In the following pop-up window enter the Wi-Fi Direct network password that you have noted from your printer
Then click Next
Now from your computer open the document that you want to print
Tap on the file menu and choose print
once the job gets completed, you can reconnect your printer to the original Wi-Fi network
